Hey Guys, this is the mail I had sent for Instituto Marangoni’s Fashion Styling Competition and I got a 30% scholarship. Yaayy !! 😛
I am Anmol Jaisinghani, a 3rd-year student at Christ University, Bengaluru. I am currently pursuing BBA (Finance & Accounting) along with two professional degrees, Company Secretary (CS) and Association Of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
So, it was only a few months ago that I realized that my real passion lies in Fashion, Writing, and Philosophy and I don’t want to end up working in some company as a CS or ACCA.
One day while scrolling through Facebook, I saw this competition on my news feed. I opened it, decided to participate and found a direction to what I want to do in the future, short courses in all the things I’m interested in. I was planning to apply for London College Of Fashion for ‘Fashion Styling’ soon but this seems like a far better option for me right now. Also, I forget everything else when I go shopping, think of different ways to style them, hair, makeup and finally the photoshoot. I cease to be; it takes me to a magical world. I am really in the state of oblivion. It’s bliss.
It was my end semester holidays and I was at home, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It’s always burning hot here so I thought of giving all the pictures a summer look.
I’ve tried to keep it simple and bold. No professional help is taken for this photoshoot as I wanted to do everything on my own, from deciding clothes, hair, and makeup to posing for the photos.
1. Sapphire Green: The first outfit is a green crop top with a black bodycon skirt from Koovs. I’ve styled it with a sling bag & sunglasses from Forever21 and beige heels from Metro. I wanted to give it a very fresh look, that’s why the green and beige combination.
2. White & Yellow: The next look is a white embroidered high neck top with a yellow skater skirt, from Bangkok’s local market. To give this a little sporty look, I’m wearing white shoes with a red flower embroidered on it, from 20Dresses. Also, I made a bun to create a little eye-catchy look.
3. Fur Weather: Winter is coming for all of us, and the fur weather has already begun. This cute fur top is from Sarojini Nagar, Delhi and I’ve styled it with a black skater skirt from Zara. To give it furthermore detailing, I wore fur sliders from Westside and made two buns. I really liked how I ended up looking super cute!
4. Casuals: The last one that I chose is a black one-sleeved crop top from StalkBuyLove on which I’ve tied a knot, along with a powder blue shorts from Forever21. Again, the Fur Sliders to give it a basic look. Furthermore, I also picked up a thin printed sweater to experiment.
The following are the outfits that I’ve styled on myself, I apologize for the photo quality as I didn’t hire a professional photographer.
